Information We Collect

We only collect information needed to quote, schedule, and perform our services.

Information you give us.

• When you request a quote or send us a message, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), service address, and ZIP code, along with any notes you choose to share about your gutters or drains.
• For downspout jetting quotes, you may upload photos of your downspouts or drainage so we can assess the work.
• When you log in to view quotes or manage bookings, we verify your identity using your email address, last name, and a one-time six-digit code sent to your email. We do not use passwords.

Information collected automatically.

• We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate, anonymized site usage and performance. These tools do not use cookies to track you across websites and do not collect personally identifying information.
• When you log in to manage bookings, we store a single secure session cookie so the site remembers that you are signed in. See Cookies below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Prepare and send your quote;
• Schedule, perform, and follow up on your service;
• Communicate with you about your quote, appointment, or questions;
• Send an invoice and receipt after the work is complete;
• Keep records of the work we have done; and
• Maintain, secure, and improve our website.

We do not send newsletters or marketing email. When you contact us, we use your information only to respond to you.

How We Share Your Information

We are a small business and we do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:

• Google Cloud / Firestore — secure storage of your quote, account, and job records.
• Mailgun — delivering transactional email such as verification codes and appointment notices.
• Square — processing invoices and payments and sending your receipt. Card details are entered with Square and are not stored on our website.
• Google Maps — address autocomplete in our forms; the address text you type is sent to Google to suggest matches.
• Vercel — website hosting and the anonymized analytics described above.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. The only cookie we set directly is a secure session cookie when you log in to manage bookings, which keeps you signed in during your visit. Google Maps may set its own cookies when address autocomplete loads. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so the site does not show a cookie consent banner.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to maintain reasonable business and tax records. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep (see below).

Security

Our website is served over HTTPS, accounts use one-time email verification rather than passwords, and customer data is stored with established cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

You can:

• Ask what information we have about you;
• Ask us to correct or update it;
• Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep; and
• Decline to provide details, though we may not be able to quote or schedule service without them.
